Nature

About 30 smaller islands belong to Vormsi, totaling more than 93 km2 of dry land. The older and also higher parts of the island rose above sea level approximately 3000 years ago. Lakes Prästvike (Prestviik, Prest vike, Kirikuviik), Diby and Kerslet (Stor vike, Lake Kepslet, Lake Kärsslät, Lake Kärrslätti) have been formed from former sea bays as the land rises.
