Sviby–Rohuküla–Sviby ferry
To reach Vormsi Island, you need to travel to Rohuküla Harbour and follow the signs to the Vormsi ferry quay. The quay is located to the left of the Rohuküla harbour building, behind the large parking area. Please note: Vormsi ferry tickets are not sold in the Rohuküla harbour building.
Tickets can be purchased:
- In advance online via the Kihnu Veeteed website: www.veeteed.com
- From a ticket machine: In Rohuküla, the machine is located in the building to the left of the Vormsi vehicle waiting area. On Vormsi, the machine is located in the harbour building.
- At the ferry café on board.
The ferry Ormsö, which operates between Rohuküla and Vormsi, carries both vehicles and foot passengers.
Since 1 January 2023, advance sales (online and through ticket machines) include: 185 passenger tickets, plus 15 additional tickets reserved exclusively for residents of Vormsi Municipality. 110 lane metres for vehicles, plus 30 additional lane metres reserved exclusively for residents of Vormsi Municipality.
Important: During the summer season, ferry tickets should be booked well in advance, as thousands of visitors travel to the beautiful island of Vormsi. If possible, leave your car at Rohuküla Harbour and travel as a foot passenger or by bicycle. A large free parking area is available at Rohuküla Harbour for those leaving their vehicles on the mainland.

Public Transport on Vormsi
Public bus service Route No. 37 operates along Vormsi Island’s figure-eight-shaped main road. The public transport service and timetable are managed by the North Estonia Public Transport Centre (MTÜ Põhja-Eesti Ühistranspordikeskus), which operates under the brand name IIL.
