A talharpa (a bowed lyre) duo, composed of Marju Tamm and Yngve Rosenblad, brings sounds of a hidden treasure of Vormsi island, an ancient Viking instrument to the listeners. In Estonian the instrument is known as hiiu kannel or hiiurootsi kannel. There is no other island in Estonia which has its own folk instrument. It is possible to get a glimpse of Vormsi song and wedding traditions, and more broadly about Coastal Swedes’ life and customs. The duo plays capturing songs about the exciting and tragic fait of talharpa.
